POLIMOVIE INTERNATIONAL CLUB, was born in 2006 at the Polytechnic of Turin as student's association which aim is to promote Festival, meeting and seminaries on cinema's culture and the student's cinema.
The association create the poject Polimovie Cineforum, the first free bilingual Cineforum of the Polytechnic of Turin. The Cineforum represents an efficient meeting point between students of differents nationalities.It is the aim of the association promote every occasion of socialize between differents cultures.
Other activities of PoliMovie there are LAUREATO STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL first italian Festival dedicate to the promotion and development of student's cinema in Italy and in the World, (third edition from 14 until 20 December 2009). The association creates a cinema creative laboratory "Student Film Center" settle at the realization and diffusion of works realize from university students.
With the collaboration of the Polytechnic of Turin the association produced different film realized from university students one of them is "Rendez vous" from Rocco Riccio, and the first episode of "Microcosmo" written and directed by the same author, shoot in high digital definition with RED camera. For this work the association obtain the contribution of the Fund of the students cultural activities of Polytechnic of Turin, and the collaboration of patronage of the city of Turin and Province.
From March 2007 the assosiation collaborate with Radio 110 web Radio of the University of Turin with the production of a cinema's radio show.
Since it was born the association collaborate with local and international Festival and organization and association of the cinema piedmontese's world.
From february 2008 promote the activities, events, retrospect, organize from the National Museum of Cinema and the distribution of 1000 free copies of Cinema Revue.
In March 2009 PoliMovie presented an italian delegation of university students in Sousse (Tunisia) at the FIFEJ - Sousse International Festival Festival. The association is also member of the new italian university media network: Ustation. From May 2009 the association is represents at the regional youth council of Piedmont.
